Just another Plymouth Grove Blogs weblog
well done 2A!! you have done it again. I am very proud of you and your efforts to be in school every day. Keep it up and we will win attendance award again and again.
I am sure you have been enjoying the snow but can you write something about it. Also write some sentences to describe the snow. In maths, we have been learning ‘number bonds to 20′. why not practise those. Also you can look at bbc’s website for exiting ‘literacy and numeracy’ games.take great care and I will see you soon
Mrs Abbas
Has any body tried leaning ‘halves and quarters’ using buttered pieces of bread! Well, we did and Hooray! managed to learn how a whole object can be cut into ‘halves’ and ‘quarters’. Also we found out that when 1/4 was eaten there were 3/4 left. It was great fun. Children really enjoyed this lesson. Was annoyed with myself as I forgot to take photos and make a video.
We have really enjoyed our topic ‘The Great Fire of London’. We have learnt so much in a very short period of time. We will carry on working on fire in our science topic and learn how fire is important and how it helps ‘materials’ to change. In Literacy we will start looking at ‘traditional tales’ whilst keeping some elements of the ‘fire’ topic.
We have started our history topic ‘The Great fire of london’. We are loving this topic. In ICT, we looked for more information. Samuel Pepys’ Diary is so inspiring that we are going to have a go writing in that style.
Science- we will be looking at ‘Materials’ and how materials can be grouped and changed. This will help us to develop our undersatnding about ‘recycling’ and how to make our environment save and healthy.
We are working really hard in Literacy and Numeracy and are making fantastic progress.
This is going to be a fantastic half term. Loving it already.
